DESCRIPTION :
Within the Industrial Safety department, you will join the HSE Design team, which is made up of Industrial Safety, Risk Quantification, and Environment & Health engineers, to work on issues related to the prevention, control, and protection against industrial risks on projects developed by Technip Energies (oil and gas, petrochemicals, hydrogen, ammonia, mining & metals, pharmaceuticals, renewable energies).
Your main contacts will be the HSE Design team, but also other Technip Energies disciplines such as Process, Piping, Civil Engineering, Instrumentation, and Electricity.
You will be involved in updating the (internal) Fire Pumping Station Design Guide with the latest codes and standards, as well as customer rules and project feedback, in order to facilitate the design of fire pumping stations by our engineers on future projects. You may also participate in other internal development activities such as identifying critical elements for the safety of an industrial facility or other technical issues that need to be clarified.
You may also be assigned to an ongoing industrial facility design project to carry out industrial safety engineering studies among our project activities listed below (depending on opportunities and project needs):
* Risk analyses, including identification of critical elements of the installation
* Participation in the development of layout plans
* Classification of hazardous areas/ATEX
* Active fire protection (sizing of fire pump stations, studies of mesh networks and deluge systems, hydraulic calculations, etc.)
* Passive fire protection,
* Protection against cryogenic leaks,
* Fire and gas detection (flammable and toxic),
* Protection of personnel, evacuation and life-saving at sea,
* Specifications and purchases of firefighting, personnel protection, and life-saving equipment, including comparison of vendor offers and documentation tracking.
These activities will allow you to learn about the role of industrial safety engineer within the HSE Design team at Technip Energies Paris.
You will be able to develop your skills during the internship through:
* Working methods/organization (rigor, multicultural teamwork, information research, problem analysis/resolution, ability to synthesize, autonomy, initiative),
* Work processes and basic quality rules,
* Technical reference systems (international standards and customer rules) and calculation tools related to industrial safety,
* An introduction to engineering, Technip Energies, the Processes & Technologies Division, and the HSED & Industrial Safety departments,
* Discovering certain processes used (the types of processes will depend on project assignment opportunities).
During this internship, you will be supported by a mentor who will answer any questions you may have.
